Making Family Memories: Gender-reveal baby returns to Ooltewah Whistlestop at 3 weeks old

Three-week-old Landon Thornburg returned to the Whistlestop, where his gender reveal celebration was held.

At just 3 weeks old, Landon Thornburg lay nestled in his stroller as his family dined at Ooltewah Whistlestop Cafe for a special occasion. 

Oblivious to his surroundings, the infant stretched, squirmed, and yawned amid the chatter. 

It seemed like just yesterday that he had been in his mother's womb as relatives and friends gathered at the venue for his gender-reveal celebration. The big announcement had come in the form of a blue milkshake, signaling a baby boy was on the way.

So, on July 3, the family returned with Landon in tow as proof of that revelation.

After hosting their gender-reveal at Ooltewah Whistlestop, the Thornburg family returned

with their new baby boy, Landon.

His parents, Blake and Caylee Thornburg, first dined at the Ooltewah Whistlestop while expecting their older son, Duncan, now 4-years-old. They chose the cafe for Landon's gender reveal because of the good time they had experienced. 

The July 3 visit came as the family celebrated yet another milestone.

“My sister-in-law is pregnant, and we were just down the road for her 4D ultrasound,” Caylee Thornburg said. “So, we decided to bring her here and bring Landon here too, so we could share the experience together again, now that he's born.”

Landon's big brother, Duncan, seemed pleased with that decision, proudly posing for photos with his new sibling — another Whistlestop memory worth cherishing.
